Media faculty member Annette Barbier  will be joining her fellow Chicago Artist Coalition 2013-14 BOLT Residents Erik Peterson, Jovencio De La Paz, Oliviero Rodriguez, Marissa Lee Benedict, Rashayla Brown, Reut Avisar, Sabba Elahi, and the 2013-14 BOLT Mentors Jennifer Mills and Christopher Ottinger for a group exhibition that opens this Friday, February 7, at a reception from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The exhibition runs from February 7 – February 27, 2014 at the CAC.

The third year of Chicago Artists Coalition’s BOLT Residency program kicks off with its annual exhibition, Preview 3. This exhibition presents early iterations of the artists’ works, offering viewers a glimpse of solo shows to come, which will begin in March 2014. Barbier’s solo exhibition will be August 22 – September 11, 2014.

The BOLT Residency is a highly competitive, juried, one-year artist studio residency program offering contemporary emerging artists the opportunity to engage the Chicago arts community and its public in critical dialogue about contemporary art.
