Marilyn Propp (A+D) and David Jones (Anchor Graphics, A+D, and MFA candidate InterArts) are having a two-person exhibit at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, entitled Confluence/Undercurrents. The show, which runs January 9–February 6, 2014, will feature an artists’ lecture and reception on January 9, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. Confluence/Undercurrents will be in the Merwin Gallery, part of the Ames School of Art at Illinois Wesleyan University, 6 Ames Plaza West, Bloomington, Illinois.

 

They will also be exhibiting at Printworks, Chicago, in an invitational group exhibit of works created by artist couples entitled Collaborations II. That show will open with an artists’ reception on January 10 from 5:00–7:00 p.m., and runs through February 15. Printworks is located at 311 W. Superior Street in Chicago.

 

Jones will be showing works on paper: pen and ink drawings with gum transfer, some on handmade abaca. Propp will be showing oil paintings on wood panels, and woodblock prints on handmade paper with pulp painting.
