The Chicago Book Expo seeks volunteers to help on the day of the event, November 24. Volunteers will help vendors unpack and set up, staff information and speaker tables, sell Expo merchandise and drinks, and help facilitate sessions and ensure that rooms are running smoothly.
The Expo itself runs from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24. Volunteers should arrive that day by 9:00 a.m. to help set up, and must also attend a quick volunteer orientation at the site of the Expo, St. Augustine College, 1345 W. Argyle in Uptown, on Sat., Nov. 23. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and button, as well as thanks on the website, AND our eternal gratitude for assisting us in running this free event!
