Bridgeport’s newest Community Arts Center, 32Forty, is having a grand opening celebration September 28, from 1:00–8:00 p.m. The extensive reworking of the Center started with a total gutting of the space, and proceeded through with new floor installation, painted walls, and a custom-built stage. The fundraising Open House JAM event is an opportunity to meet some of our their teachers, peruse their plentiful resources, and check out class demonstrations, ranging from guitar, drums, capoeira, modern, ballet, and hip hop dance, to yoga, computer programming and Adobe Photoshop. Upcoming events planned include movie nights, poker nights, concerts, tutoring resources, and open mic events.
InterArts Media alumna Michelle Graves will be doing a live demonstration at 5:30 p.m. on using Photoshop as a creative tool.
Tickets are at a donation of $10, or pay what you can. More info and tickets here.
