Druckworks, a retrospective exhibition of the work of Johanna Drucker that was first mounted at CBPA, is the first comprehensive presentation of Drucker’s books, graphic art, and visual projects, and reveals key insights into the artist’s development over the course of four decades.
Author, book artist, visual theorist, and cultural critic Johanna Drucker worked with grad students and CBPA curator Jessica Cochran on the original installation at the CBPA gallery in 2012. Since its closing on Dec. 7, 2012, the exhibition has been on tour to various U.S. locations, including Denison Museum at Denison University (February 8–May 11, 2013), San Francisco Center for the Book (May–August, 2013), and now UMBC. After its run at the Albin O. Kuhn Library Gallery at UMBC, the exhibition will be packed up and shipped over to the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester NY, to be shared with that central New York arts and cultural community starting in January 2014.
The catalog from the exhibition is available on Amazon.
