The InterArts Raw Space on the second floor of 1104 South Wabash Avenue will be the center of a mini-performance art festival on Monday, April 8. MFA students in the InterArts Media Performance course will open their class time to the public to present some of their developed works for enjoyment, feedback, and critique. Featured artists on the playbill include Cristina Valadez, Justin Botz, Darren Lorenzi, Kellen Walker, Janelle Dowell, and Morgan Sayers.
Media Performance is a course that has been taught by artist, musician, performer, and co-Artistic Director of Chicago’s Curious Theater Branch Jenny Magnus for many semester in InterArts, and is open to any graduate student in InterArts Media and Book and Paper who has completed their first semester.
The performance is free and open to the public. Performances can be experienced at two sessions, afternoon (1:30–3:30 p.m.) and evening (7:00–9:00 p.m.) Late arrival audience members will be seated between individual performances.
