FORM, a juried group art exhibition opening this Friday at the Chicago Artist Coalition gallery, features pairings of ten artists with ten florists. Curated by CBPA’s Jessica Cochran, the show enlists the skills and collaboration of the florists and artists in the perfect project to help usher in spring, especially after such a long Chicago winter.
Work by Nicolas Sagan featured in Form
Artists in the show (including CBPA guest instructor Karen Hanmer and InterArts alumnus Nicolas Sagan) created black and white art in the medium of their choice, which were then complimented by floral art in a wide spectrum of color, collaboratively produced by Chicago florists from Fleur Du Jour, Flor Del Monte, Fragrant Design, Life in Bloom, Natural Beauties Floral, Oh My Floral, Pollen, Stems, Urban Rootstock, Vale of Enna. Says Cochran, “I fell this exhibit exemplifies the dialogue that evolves between artists, through the art of interpretation.”
The exhibition opening is this Friday, April 5, from 6:00–9:00 p.m., at the Chicago Artist Coalition, 217 North Carpenter, Chicago, IL.
