CALL FOR ENTRIES: Emerging Illinois Artists

Emerging Illinois Artists is a triennial juried exhibition featuring artwork by MFA students currently enrolled or recently graduated from an Illinois university. The exhibition will be on view in the MCAC’s Brandt Gallery May 3 through July 13, 2013. Three Merit Awards of $200 will be awarded as well as a Juror’s Choice Award of $500 and a 2016 solo exhibition at MCAC.

Award winners will be announced during the opening reception, on Friday, May 3, 5pm to 7pm. The juror will be Bill Gross, owner/director of 65GRAND gallery in Chicago.

All entrants must be MFA candidates currently enrolled or have graduated within the last year from an Illinois university. Works of any size, completed in any medium, may be submitted for jurying. All works must be ready for exhibition and must have feasible installation requirements. Artists will be responsible for supplying all equipment for installation and new media artwork. All artwork submitted must have been made in the years 2012-13.

Please submit digital images/files of 3 works through our online application on our website www.mcac.org. Up to 2 images may be submitted for each of the 3 works.
