The Lawrence Arts Center Artist Residencies | Ceramics & Printmaking

Two 12-month residency programs are designed to provide a supportive environment in which artists can immerse themselves in creating new work and expanding their own understanding of their field of expertise, as well as other mediums available at the Arts Center. Both residencies are multi-faceted experiences that include teaching, community outreach, interaction with other artists, and studio care, culminating in an exhibition of new work. Residents are provided studio space, a monthly stipend, an apartment, and 24 hour access to the studios, including ceramics, metal, photography, and digital media studios.

Ideal candidates should have an M.F.A. in ceramics or printmaking, and be self-directed and able to work independently. Preference is given to candidates who have demonstrated artistic excellence as well as interest in experimentation and innovative techniques.

The Lawrence Arts Center is located in downtown Lawrence, Kansas.
