IMAGe Unit and PIT, the InterArts Student Organizations for Media and Book + Paper MFAs, will host the second Salon Night for fall 2012. The November Interdisciplinary Art Salon, will again take place in the Raw Sapce at 1104 South Wabash, on Monday November 19, from 7:00–9:00 p.m. The Interdisciplinary Art Salon was initiated by the student organizations early this fall to provide an ongoing opportunity for the students, faculty, and staff of the Interdisciplinary Arts community to present their work in an informal setting. Members of the community are invited to join in this Monday, meet and get to know the artists in InterArts, engage in community feedback, and spark new ideas and connections.
Monday’s presenters will be Matt Harris, Media Staff; Jessica Cochran, Book and Paper Staff; Dennis Burke, 2nd year Media; and Justin Botz, 1st year Media. Unfortunately, there will be NO grilled cheese served at next week’s Salon, as was seen earlier this week in the 916 S. Wabash InterArts Gathering Space. The midday Informal Brown Bag Lunch was this past Monday November 12, with IMAGe Unit President Mike LaHood at the helm of the George Foreman grilling machine. Special thanks goes to third-year InterArts Media Michelle Korte Leccia, who supplied the back-up toaster grill.
