InterArts/Book and Paper Assistant Professor Melissa Potter, and Lecturer Miriam Schaer have both been curated into the new exhibition Feminism and the Artists’ Book at Central Booking Artspace in Brooklyn, New York. The gallery, in Brooklyn’s Cobble Hill neighborhood, focuses on artist’s books and prints, and their integration into the larger art world.

The exhibition is curated by the artist Maddy Rosenberg to run in conjunction with the Brooklyn Museum’s exhibition Materializing Six Years: Lucy R. Lippard and the Emergence of Conceptual Art, which examines the defining impact Lucy R. Lippard’s groundbreaking book Six Years had on the emergent Conceptual art movement.

Potter, who is also Acting Director of the Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts MFA Program at Columbia College, has written a critical essay for the exhibition, to be published in Central Booking Magazine. Potter’s work Gender Assignment Series, and selections from Schaer’s series Baby (Not) On Board: The Final Prejudice?are featured in the Central Booking Artspace show.
