Dance Faculty Position – Valdosta State University (GA)

The Department of Communication Arts at Valdosta State University is accepting applications for a ten-month, tenure track faculty position beginning August 1, 2012. Position will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in all levels of Ballet, Jazz, and Tap techniques; creating choreography and teaching theory courses including Dance History and Introduction to Dance; potential for teaching in additional areas of experience including Modern Technique, Dance Composition, Dance Sciences, and Music for Dance. Advising, departmental, university and community service and research is expected and required.

Skills & Qualifications:

Required qualificaitons include a MFA in Dance and a professional performance background; prefer candidates with a doctoral degree.
