Assistant Professor of Dance in the Department of Communication Arts-Valdosta State University

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Professor of Dance in the Department of Communication Arts. This is a ten-month, tenure track faculty position beginning August 1, 2012.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate courses in all levels of Ballet, Jazz, and Tap techniques, create choreography and teach theory courses including Dance History and Introduction to Dance. Potential for teaching in additional areas of experience including Modern Technique, Dance Composition, Dance Sciences, and Music for Dance. Advising, departmental, university and community service and research is expected and required.

QUALIFICATIONS: MFA in Dance required; doctorate preferred. Professional performance background.
