STAGED READING and Open Rehearsal Four Monologues, from the play The Laws of Light by Aram Saroyan

Mr. Saroyan visits Chicago as a guest of the Columbia College Chicago Center for Book and Paper Arts in celebration of the release of the artists’ book Four Monologues, published under the Center’s Epicenter imprint. Four Monologues was designed and produced in an edition of 300 copies by MFA students in Clifton Meador’s advanced graduate printing class.

The staged reading, directed by Theater Department Professor Brian Shaw, will be preceded by an open rehearsal which will include a discussion of the characters and historical milieu. The cast includes Benjamin Peterson as Osip Mandelstam; Robert Francis Curtis as Boris Pasternak; Alyssa Thordarsson as Anna Akhmatova; and Katherine Acosta as Nehdezda Khazina.

The open rehearsal is free and open to the public, but space is limited (RSVP: 312-369-6630). More information on all events can be found here.
