The Center for Book & Paper Arts is now accepting applications for the two-week residencies for summer of 2012. The residency dates for next summer are June 11 – 22 and July 9 – 20.
These residencies provide time, facilities and assistance for specific projects. The selection committee seeks emerging and mid-career artists who are experienced book artists, printers, and/or papermakers. Selected artists receive studio space; assistance; access to the Center’s top-quality print (letterpress), bookbinding, papermaking, and digital (Mac) studios; living accommodations; and an honorarium. The Center’s archive, a valuable resource for the program’s students, receives one copy of each resident’s editioned piece each year for its collection. Completed applications must be postmarked by March 5, 2012, and accepted artists are notified by mid-March.
