The Interdisciplinary Arts Department presents two collaborative installations featuring students in the Interdisciplinary Arts and Media MFA and Book and Paper Arts MFA programs. the works will be on display from October 27 through November 1, and are free and open to the public. There will be a special closing reception on Tuesday, November 1, from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Umbra, a work by Elizabeth Isakson-Dado, Book and Paper MFA Candidate, is a poetic interpretation of the three distinct parts of a shadow—the umbra, penumbra, and antumbra—that accompany an eclipse.
Nest by Michael LaHood, Interdisciplinary Arts + Media MFA Candidate, is an act of meditative spatial sculpture achieved through repetitive building processes.
Both works will be on display at 916 South Wabash Avenue, second floor, room 204.
Installation hours are Thursday–Friday (10/27 + 10/28) and Monday–Tuesday (10/31 + 11/1) 3:00–7:00 p.m., or by appointment.
