Wood Type, Evolved exhibition featured on “Printeresting”

Printeresting, the “thinking person’s favorite online resource for interesting printmaking miscellany,” recently featured the Center for Book and Paper Arts’ exhibition “Wood Type, Evolved.” Read the article here.

The exhibition, which explores new modes of artistic production through the use of altered wood type, is on view through December 10, 2011. Curator April Sheridan recently led an in-depth tour of the exhibition as part of Chicago Artists’ Month, followed by a series of artist demos in the Center’s letterpress, binding, and papermaking studios.
