Interdisciplinary Arts & Media Program Director Jeanine Mellinger and artist John Manning produced the inaugural video installation for the lobby of Columbia College-Chicago’s new Media Production Center for the opening gala.

The video is part of her Reframing Nature Series.

“The workaday urban environment we share reflects the pragmatic requirements of commerce, shelter, and interaction. It has largely supplanted the natural setting upon which it is built. Streams and creeks on slices of LED video screens are magnified and reframed to restore balance between nature and the built environment.”
