New Web Series ‘You’re So Talented’ Debuts March 11–A Collaboration Among Columbia College Theatre, Cinema, and Education Alumni

Youre So Talented 4

Alumni of the Columbia College Chicago Theatre, Cinema Art + Science, and Education departments have joined forces to launch a new Web series, You’re So Talented, which premieres Wednesday, March 11. Presented by Open TV, and produced in association with Artful Enough Pictures and Samantha Lee, You’re So Talented is created by actor-writer Sam Bailey–the show’s star as well as its producer and principal writer. You’re So Talented focuses on Bea (Bailey), an out-of-work Chicago artist in her twenties.

Open TV is a platform aimed at empowering a diverse set of creatives to produce and distribute original indie series by and about artists. You’re So Talented will be the first of these series. The episodes will premiere on Open TV every two weeks on Wednesdays at noon starting March 11. The day after each episode premieres on Open TV, it will also play on the You’re So Talented website: http://www.youresotalented.net.

Besides Bailey, the series’ cast includes Columbia Theatre alumni Behzad Dabu, Jaren Merrell, Valerie Lyvers, and Chad L. Green. The creative team includes director and editor Chris Tabor; director of photography Matthew Paul Gonzalez; location sound director Morgan D. Jensen; and assistant director Dakota Loesch–all alumni of Columbia’s film program. Also on board is associate producer, graphic artist, and composer Samantha Lee, an alumna of Columbia’s master’s program in Arts Education.

The show has been featured in media outlets ranging from Chicago magazine to the blogs Twenties Unscripted, BrightGirl Writes, and Indiewire. More information is available on the show’s Facebook page.
