Manifest Urban Arts Festival: Animate 2016

Manifest Urban Arts Festival: Animate 2016

The Business & Entrepreneurship Department is preparing to participate in another great year of the Manifest Urban Arts Festival. Many Business classes will be producing and contributing to the activities. This year’s department events are a senior showcase, a graduate showcase, various live music performances, and other day-long activities.

Starting Thursday, the Master of Arts Management program will host an event to celebrate graduating students. This event will feature live performances, photo opportunities, food and drinks, and a toast to this group of future arts managers. RSVP for this event here. All students, faculty, alumni, and friends are welcome.

AEMMP Records kicks off the annual festival Friday afternoon by curating the stage lineup for the Main Stage (located at 1001 S. Wabash) from 1pm to 6pm. Manifest concludes with performances by the Biggest Mouth contest winner, ConSoul, and the Manifest headliner, Sir the Baptist. Additionally, the Events Management Practicum classes have activities and student bands scheduled all day.

Lastly, the undergraduate senior showcase, Transform, from 4pm to 6pm, will feature creative, engaging presentations in a dynamic, rapid-fire style, discussing the valuable learning experiences they’ve had at Columbia College Chicago.

Manifest is Columbia College Chicago’s annual showcase, held this year on Friday, May 13th, to celebrate unique and creative student works and performances. At Manifest, you will encounter thought-provoking gallery exhibitions, live performances, fashion shows, original game design, literary readings, and more; all curated by the talent that defines our campus under the theme “Animate”. Free and open to the public, this will be the 16th year of Manifest, celebrating the talent that emerges from our community and redefines school pride.
