AA&A Alumnus, Karson Glass, chooses coveted seat in Rush University’s Audiology doctoral program

Date: 4/10/2014

Recent Audio Design and Production graduate, Karson Glass (AA&A BA, Dec 2013), was offered sports at the two largest Audiology graduate programs in the Midwest: Northwestern and Rush Universities. He chose Rush University’s Doctor of Audiology program for its focus on clinical research and application. This is a highly competitive program with <50% of applicants accepted and >90% placement record upon graduation. Karson, a US military veteran himself, hopes to one day work as an audiologist for Veteran’s Affairs, as hearing damage is the number one ailment for those who have served in the military. This is his way of giving back to a community he was once a part of.

Academically, Karson has performed admirably, graduating Magna Cum Laude and finishing four semesters on the Dean’s list. He also served as the Audio Arts & Acoustics department’s tutor for two years, and held several teaching assistantships.

Congratulations Karson!
