marilyn propp

Art & Art History adjunct faculty member and Anchor Graphics co-founder Marilyn Propp will be discussing her work as part of Brooklyn, NY Gallery 440s’ current exhibition, Off the Press.

Gallery 440 is holding a discussion Sunday, September 6, 4:40pm with the jurors and two artists from Off the Press, a group show featuring hand-pulled prints that span a variety of media, both old and new, capturing a focus on prints that have been hand-pulled by the artists. Jurors Kathleen Carraccio and Roni Henning will give insight into the selection process for the show. Propp and Roxanne Faber Savage will discuss their techniques and inspirations behind their selected work.

Propp is concerned with the clash/coexistence between the industrial and the natural worlds. She uses engine and machine parts as source material, transforming them into animated biomorphic forms.
