As part of the programming during the Rooted in Soil exhibition at the DePaul Art Museum, visiting Lecturer Julia Goodman will be speaking of her experiences making beet root art.

“Julia Goodman is a San Francisco-based interdisciplinary artist and guest lecturer in the MFA Program in Book and Paper at Columbia College in Chicago. She is currently focused on the act of creating paper from the beet root. John Peterson a several generation farmer who long ago gave up traditional practices for organic farming using biodynamic methods. Peterson and fellow farmer Andrew Stewart from Angelic Organics will present their shared interest in the importance of the soil that lies beneath us.”
