JOB OPPORTUNITY: Development Assistant, Humanities Festival

Position Title: DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
Reports to: Managing Director, Development
Classification: Full-time, temporary, 1 year (with possibility of renewal)
Exempt with benefits

Position Description:

The Development Assistant is an integral member of the Development team and is responsible for ensuring that all critical administrative work related to the Humanities Festival annual fundraising and 25th Anniversary Campaign is executed accurately and in a timely manner.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for Development department’s day-to-day operations, mailings, special projects, and initiatives
  • Process and enter gifts in database
  • Assist with database record maintenance and coding
  • Prepare acknowledgement letters
  • Assemble and coordinate the delivery of introducer packets for the Fall Festival
  • Provide administrative support for meeting and stewardship of Board committees: development, governance and nominating, 25th Anniversary campaign, and gala benefit
  • Provide administrative support for the 25thAnniversary campaign
    • Help schedule donor and committee meetings
    • Prepare meeting materials
    • Provide progress reports regarding fundraising initiatives and portfolio statuses
    • Assist with the planning, management and implementation of events including:
      • gala benefit and year-round cultivation events
      • Accept tasks and responsibilities as assigned

  • Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge helpful

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2 + years work experience
