Media Student Writes, Directs, and Performs on Sunday as part of Rhinofest

Kellen Walker is a second-year media student that often adds an extra layer of taste and smell to her performances. She is one of the many students who have performed and participated in the Rhinocerous Theater Festival, Chicago’s oldest multi-media fringe festival co-founded by InterArts faculty member Jenny Magnus. Christopher Bednash, also a second-year media student, will be performing with Walker in Game Night, an interactive, multi-sensory performance that illustrates how a post-stroke point of view would look, sound, smell and taste. Inspired by the grandmother of Walker and her collaborating performers’ family members and patients in head injury rehabilitation, the performance is an endearing clasp on the before and after moments that compose our lives. Live musical score provided by Jessica Quazi and Darkest Wonder.
