InterArts Students to Present a MANIFEST Sideshow

Six InterArts student, a mix of both Media and Book and Paper, will be presenting their own soundscapes during Manifest 2013. The collection of works, intriguingly titled Would You Die for Sound?, will running in two spots on campus between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. as part of the May 17 Manifest Arts Celebration, the annual event where Columbia College takes over the South Loop to recreate it as a giant interactive arts park.

The six different soundscapes will play in rotation, and have been authored by the following artists: Penelope Hearne, Cristina Valadez, Megan Pitcher, Alex Borgen, Morgan Sayers, and Sid Branca. Visitors to Manifest can experience the works on the second floor of the 916 S. Wabash building, as well as in the basement of the 1104 South Wabash Ludington Building. Both soundscapes will be free and open to the public.
