Graduate Salon Series Continues on Monday Feb. 18

IMAGe Unit and PIT, the graduate student organizations for the Interdisciplinary Arts Department, present the next session in an ongoing series of art presentations by the Interdisciplinary Arts community. Students, faculty, and staff are all invited to partake in presenting and sharing work and ideas in an informal setting. Salon sessions are wonderful opportunities for workshopping new pieces, providing and receiving critique feedback, as well as a chance to spend time with fellow artists in the department. The sessions are especially helpful in forging connections and collaborations between the MAs and MFAs, whose opposite schedules sometimes prevent the casual connections so essential to creating a vibrant artist community.

There will be two more salons after this one for spring 2013: Monday March 11, and Monday April 15. First-year students are encouraged to present in March, as a warm-up for the formal critiques. Anyone interested in presenting, please email Sid at sid@sidbranca.com.
