Connect the Dots — Call for Movement, Media, Audio, and Visual Art for Performance in Baltimore, MD

That thing: Love at first sight. Gut instinct. Instant attraction. The indescribable connection with another that can be felt but not articulated. Connect the Dots will describe/explore/illustrate/discuss those very human connections and the questions they provoke. Can it be explained to someone who has never felt it? Are we all capable of that experience? Does it even exist or is it simply ingrained animal biology? The show examines what may lie deeper beneath attraction to another, whether one is family, friend, lover, or other.

Connect the Dots is looking for original movement, media, and audio work, as well as visual art that attempts to explore interpersonal connection. Works will be presented in a gallery setting for two evenings of performance March 22 and 23, 2013 at EMP in Baltimore, MD.

Additionally, Erin Rehberg will be in residence at EMP for the week leading up to the culminating exhibition and performance, and would like to collaborate with local artists to create a shared work or works regarding connection. With your submission, please indicate if you are willing and able to work on the connection collaboration.
