Space Reservations and EQ Center Hours

Helpful information for the fall 2012 semester:

916 S. Wabash InterArts Equipment Center Hours
EQ center will be open

Monday–Thursday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

The 916 S. Wabash InterArts Computer Lab is CLOSED for general access use during these fall scheduled class times:
Tuesday and Thursday Sept. 3–November 29 from 12:00 noon-5:00 p.m.
Fridays 9/7, 9/14, and 9/21 from 12:00 noon-5:00 p.m.
Wednesdays 10/24 and 10/31 from 12:00 noon-5:00 p.m.

Raw Space and Sound Lab
The Raw Space and Sound Lab are open and available to all students who are currently enrolled in, or have previously taken classes that meet in those spaces.

RESERVATIONS
• Individual blocks of two hours may be reserved in advance, in person, at the equipment center during normal hours of operation.
• No student may reserve more than two, two-­-hour blocks per day.
• You may only reserve four blocks total in any given week.
• Reservations for longer than four hours per day, for more than eight hours per week, or for students who have not previously taken classes that meet in these spaces are subject to faculty approval.
• Please be considerate of your classmates. Available hours are a finite resource.  Please only reserve blocks that you KNOW you will need.

CANCELLATIONS
• Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours in advance or the reservation will count towards your weekly total.

Installation Lab – 916 Wabash Room 204
The Installation Lab is open and available to all students who are currently enrolled and in good standing in the Interdisciplinary Art Department.

RESERVATIONS
• Individual blocks of one day to four days in a row may be reserved in advance, in person, at the equipment center during normal hours of operation.
• No student may reserve more than 10 days per semester.
• Reservations beyond these weekly or semester limits require additional review & approval.
• Please be considerate of your classmates. Available hours are a finite resource. Please only reserve blocks that you KNOW you will need.

CANCELLATIONS
Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours in advance or the reservation will count towards your 10 days per semester.

POLICIES
• After reservation approval, you will be assigned an access code. Under no circumstances should you prop the door open or share the keycode with anyone.
• Students may only work during posted building hours.
• Students are responsible for all materials, equipment, and artwork stored in the space. You may be sharing the space with other students.
• No one except the authorized student, faculty, and their advisors may be in the space without special permission.
• The room must be cleaned and re-­set prior the conclusion of your reserved time. The cart in the room will have a limited number of power cables and other cables.
• Light fixtures and media equipment may be checked out for use in the space, depending upon your current equipment access.
• These rooms are working spaces, not a storage location.
• Any modifications to the room must be pre-­-approved, i.e. painting walls, building walls, etc. If approved these modifications must be reversed to the satisfaction of Matt Harris, i.e. returned to the clean walls and floors and painted condition.
• Abuse of this facility, the equipment, fellow students or faculty will result in loss of access to the space and equipment.
